Ford Poke's Fun Of Men Who Drive Minivans
A new print ad campaign for the automotive giant Ford makes fun of the everyday minivan man, and suggests they "Don't Be The Minivan Guy." Ford appears to be implying that if you drive the new sporty Ford S-Max Minivan you'll be cool. Correct me if I'm wrong but, isn't the S-Max still a minivan?

Ford Mustang Customizer Demo Video
Credits Via Creativity-Online.com
Team Detroit and Firstborn return with a new Customizer website from Ford , which lets users design their dream Mustang. An evolution of the original Customizer launched in 2009, the site lets you play with a Mustang V6, GT, Boss 302 or Shelby GT500. Users can change up backgrounds, add accessories and different angles.
A requisite social media add-on also lets you upload and share your designs, and even enter them into "battle" with others, a new feature.
And if you really want to get serious, you can download a PDF design of your customized vehicle and get into a conversation with your nearest Ford dealer to make your dream into a reality.
The 2009 version of the Customizer, from Wunderman/Team Detroit and Firstborn, allowed visitors to collaborate with friends on design projects, by giving it a "video-game" feel.

How Swede It Is for the Motor City and Ford's New 'OctoGrip' Print Ad
Ever since Henry Ford first set up shop for his Ford Motor Company in Detroit, both the city and the automaker have benefited from this cross-branding relationship. This unique Motor City factor can be seen in everything from music with Motown to sports with the NHL's Detroit Red Wings, whose town team logo features a car tire with wings. So it came to no surprise that Ford's latest print ad campaign would once again be influenced by Hockey Town USA, as the cool ad borrows heavily on both the Detroit Red Wings logo and the hockey teams unofficial mascot the octopus - as the hockey crazed town has become famous for their strange tradition of throwing octopus on the ice during Red Wing home games. The ad's likeness is not just a mere copy however, but more an homage by the creators - as the ad agency and campaign are based out of Sweden. For it is common knowledge that the Detroit Red Wings have always preferred drafting Swedish hockey players, as the IKEA promo poster attests too.

2010 Lincoln MKS With Active Park Assist "Play" Commercial
Drive stars a smiling woman piloting her MKS through rolling, verdant terrain. A funky, upbeat track accompanies the action as the driver accelerates using the car's environmentally friendly yet powerful EcoBoost technology.
Go also promotes EcoBoost, as a determined man uses the system to accelerate from the gloom of a rainstorm to the sunshine of open countryside. The music perfectly complements the transition from dark to light, shifting from a slightly menacing beat to a lilting, whimsical tune by the final sun-soaked beach scene.
Play, shot almost entirely in the car's interior, stars a man in lighthearted awe of the MKS's Active Park Assist, which parallel parks the Lincoln without human assistance. A playful tune synchs joyously with the motions of the smiling driver, who appears to be dancing with the steering wheel as it backs the car into its space.
Stay features the voice-activated navigation system, and introduces a driver stalled in a traffic jam who calls out to the system, and, with new directions, heads off on the open road. A subdued, carefree beat evokes the ease of the new technology and the relaxed element that it introduces to the man's life.
"The challenge here was to make meaningful soundtracks for :15s; trying to capture the exact mood of each spot in a very short spot," noted Simon. "UniWorld was extremely cooperative in sharing fully at each phase of the creative process so we could really fine tune each score to the spot's message."
