Activision's Call Of Duty Black Ops "There's A Soldier In All Of Us" TV Ad

This great commercial for Call of Duty: Black Ops takes the first-person shooter video game experience to another level with it's ingenious premise of placing everyday people in direct combat scenarios. The spot is funny and the cinematography is top notch, but what really makes this ad work is the classic song "Gimme Shelter" by The Rolling Stones, as it makes the perfect soundtrack to the impressive visuals. The Stone's however don't have much say in the matter as New York-based ABKCO Music & Records holds the rights to the song. They also licensed "Sympathy for the Devil" to be used as background music for scenes inside the game as well.

Samsung SF Notebook TV Ad " True Beauty Is Curved"

The minimalistic and stark commercial from Holland for Samsung's SF Notebook series takes a page from Apple's MacBook Air in highlighting the laptops style and design. Just like a European sports car, the Samsung SF latest design was influenced by the most beautiful thing in nature - the female form.

Wodka Vodka & Ciroc Vodka Print Ad Campaigns

Here is a great example of two Vodka brands and their opposite yet effective print ad campaigns.  The latest slogan for Wodka's Vodka "Hamptons Quality, Newark Pricing" is a funny and truthful tag line for the unapologetic cheaper alternative.  While Ciroc uses Diddy's star power and various other high-cost marketing tactics to help consumers rationalize paying a higher price for similar quality Vodka.  And like most things the rap and fashion mogul involves himself in, it appears to be a branding success.  Since Diddy's affiliation with Ciroc it has been ranked second in sales in the ultra-premium Vodka category and even managed to position itself as the "Official Vodka of New Year's Eve."

The much publicized accident only added fuel to the media frenzy that already surrounded Michael Jackson at the time and ultimately helped build incredible hype for the Pepsi spot before it even aired back in 1984. Despite the incident this spot should be remembered as a forerunner in commercial endorsement deals, as it lead the way for future pop stars such as Brittney Spears, Mariah Carey and even Madonna to capitalize on the trend.

John Cameron Mitchell Shoots Promo Ad for DIOR

Director John Cameron Mitchell and Anonymous Content, in a direct-to-client relationship with high-end fashion, fragrance and accessory giant DIOR, just released an epic 6:00 promo for the company. Lady Grey London is a fanciful mini-epic that funnels the DIOR mystique through the actions of the enrapturing Lady Dior - across one night in London.

Mitchell wrote the script and worked closely with DIOR's in-house creative group over a few weeks to complete the concept. The project followed the release of this year's acclaimed Rabbit Hole, a Mitchell-directed film about a couple struggling to deal with the death of their young son.

The video follows another Anonymous Content-produced viral short for DIOR, DIOR Homme Fragrance's Un Rendez Vous, a sexual tryst set in Paris, directed by Guy Ritchie, and starring Jude Law. "We have a very good relationship with DIOR," noted Anonymous Content EP/Head of Commercials Dave Morrison. "They were really big on John after seeing his recent work, and were thrilled we could deliver him for their campaign. His work is second to none. But that's what sets Anonymous apart - our ability to deliver the best talent to turn out projects that perfectly balance advertising and Hollywood."

Grolsch & the Swingtop Philharmonic Orchestra Wishes Us A Merry Christmas

Grolsch & the Swingtop Philharmonic Orchestra presents a 'video Christmas card' featuring a magical rendition of the classic carol 'Oh, Christmas Tree' played exclusively on instruments crafted from Grolsch Swingtop bottles.

A re-imagined version of the Christmas favourite by Ernst Anschütz has been arranged by composer Ross Power and is played by the specially assembled 'Swingtop Philharmonic Orchestra', a troupe made up of some of the world's leading musicians and sound engineers.

Led by conductor Thomas Blunt, seven percussionists, woodwind players and a timpanist create a beautiful rendition of the song using sounds dreamed up through each element of the legendary bottle -- glass, air, beer and the uniquely 'Grolsch' Swingtop.

Dozens of Swingtop bottles provide the score with tuneful pops, clicks, jingle bells, güiro sounds, wind tuned with Grolsch beer, orchestral timpani, bass drum and the sound of a mysterious festive Grolsch 'glockenspiel' that provides the story with a stunning seasonal twist and climax.

Nokia's "SuperFun" Commercial Is SuperBad

The new French Ad "SuperFun" for Nokia's N8's HD Camera demonstrates how their new technology adds to the fun. Nothing to original in this spot, as we have seen the actual product shoot commercials before and the long sweeping edits is no new trick. Yet it still hits the mark with a great backing soundtrack over some pretty cool surreal house party shots.

Salvation Army Ad Campaign "Suprise Catwalk"

This terrific ad campaign from the Salvation Army was created for Fretex to demonstrate how second hand clothing will make up Salvation Army's fashion line. The surprise catwalk was shot during Oslo fashion week in a subway station where unsuspected people became part of the fashion show. Cascade Brewery Co. "Brewed By Feel" Spot

Nylon Studios recently teamed up again with Droga5 and production company Revolver - this time to create a new commercial for Cascade Brewery Co. Titled "Brewed by Feel," the spot follows a chatty brewer biking casually along a dirt path through idyllic country fields. The brewer barely pays attention to the path as he describes how Cascade beer is special as it is brewed by "the feel."

Nylon composer Blair Joscelyne created the spot's music and notes his creative approach, "I really wanted to get in touch with how the brewer was feeling as he rode along. There is something very normal about a bike's slow stroll, but this spot has a slightly unsettling humor as he never watches where he is going. I think this normality, mixed with something a little off, was key to creating the music."

Smart Car Commercial Is Really Against Dumb

If Diesel is for stupid then Smart is really against dumb and the dumbest thing going on right now is over-consumption. This is why the Smart car has launched a social media campaign on Facebook to get people to join in a crusade against over-consumption. The auto brand is also looking for the worst examples of dumb, mindless over-consumption to include in an upcoming video. Dumb is not watching this commercial and joining in on the fun.

Quicksilver's New Commercial "Evolution" featuring Kelly Slater

On November 6th, 2010 Quiksilver's Kelly Slater made history by capturing his 10th ASP World Title in Puerto Rico. Kelly is the first surfer to achieve 10 ASP World Titles, an accomplishment spanning two decades of an astounding career during which he has dominated competitive surfing as both the youngest and oldest ASP World Champion.

Unlike Tiger Wood's controversial Nike commercial, Quicksilver's ad's use of early footage of Kelly Slater as a young phenom truly foresees the champion surfer's incredible career. Instead of coming away feeling disappointed in our star athlete's, the spot beckons us back to the day when we celebrated sport achievement-not notoriety.

New UPS Commercial Premise Setter US Version

Nice Shoes, working in collaboration with Gartner Productions via Ogilvy & Mather, handled post and effects on a recent global UPS campaign. Marking Ogilvy's first effort for UPS, and Nice Shoes' extremely early involvement in the production process, the campaign is a total departure from previous UPS advertising.

The vibrant spots, a combination of live-action, and animation/motion graphics courtesy of Go Robot!, highlight the shipping giant's outstanding global logistics including a chipper song celebrating the subject. The campaign's centerpiece is an upbeat :60 crafted in Chinese, Spanish, and American and British English versions. While the exact footage varies from one spot to the next to incorporate specific cultural elements, the basic setup is the same: from an airport tarmac to soaring cities to bustling factories, the spot goes on a fantastic worldwide journey, showing a UPS deliveryman hustling through the skies, the waterways and the streets in a variety of airplanes, boats, trucks and push carts, bringing packages to smiling and grateful customers.

"We had to color grade from a myriad of sources," noted Colorist Chris Ryan. "It was a challenge to make stock footage match the specifically shot footage and the archive footage provided by UPS."

Working with their customary speed, Nice Shoes worked in Flame to finish the spots in only one week. The work process was somewhat streamlined by a deep familiarity between Nice Shoes and Ogilvy, which have worked together on campaigns for IBM, American Express, TD Ameritrade and many others.

3D projection mapping in the city centre of Amsterdam for H&M

H&M brought their flagship store in Amsterdam to life with a 3D projection mapping on the historic building. For over 3 minutes, invited guests and a gathered crowd enjoyed a surreal fairytale of light and magical effects. A red ribbon, wrapped around the building, untangles and transformed the building into a colorful dollhouse where nothing is what it seems. Simply brilliant and nice to watch.
