Absolut Peppar Vodka's New Ad is so HOT They Use A Bottle Of Tabasco Sauce

Here is a new commercial for Absolut Vodka Peppar from Spain simply entitled "Drinkers." The spot done by Filmia Productions features a interesting story line, from the shirtless guy tied to a chair, some kind of potion and an Absolut Vodka bottle that looks more like a bottle of Tabasco Sauce, oh and let's not forget the woman screaming "Fire"...

Absolut Vodka Outrageous Celebrating 30 Years of Going Out and Coming Out - Print Ad

This is a vision of outrageous freedom from David La Chapelle. David chose to shoot on a beach in order to emphasis the sense of coming from the darkness into the light. From there every element that is coming out of the iconic ABSOLUT bottle-shaped closet contributes to that sense outrageousness and freedom. All the people are representative of the LGBT community and contribute emotionally to the sense of joy and celebration of the 30 year anniversary of ABSOLUT's involvement with the community. Each element does not neccesarily "mean" something or "symbolize" something - each contributes to the whole. And each is very uniquely David - outrageous.

Finlandia Vodka "The Evolution of Perfection"

The Finnish animation studio Undo teamed up with a Finnish production house Komia to create this spot for Finlandia. The film is directed by Juuso Syrjä.

Fluid simulation was used to create the impossible shots where the vodka would rise up and form the shape of the bottle. A fairly complex setup was made in Realflow to direct the fluid growing, and a lot of growing collision geometries were used to move the digital fluid to match the shape of the bottle.

Mission accomplished!

Michael Imperoili Stars In 1800 Silver Tequila Spots

Proximo Spirits, launched a new advertising campaign for 1800 Silver Tequila brand featuring The Sopranos star Michael Imperioli, (better known as Christopher Moltisanti) the commercials draw attention to the fact that tequila has lost its way, becoming an overpriced and pretentious spirit. In a series of spots, Imperioli brandishes his signature tough guy image, poking fun at Patrón while noticing one brand that sets itself apart.

"Unlike Patrón, which was started by a co-founder of a hair care company in 1989, 1800 Silver Tequila has nine generations of distilling expertise behind it, and is a family-owned brand of superb quality 100% Agave spirit," said a spokesperson from Proximo. "In this economy, we don't think consumers need to pay an arm and a leg for great tasting tequila. This new ad campaign is about reminding people that they can buy the real deal – 1800 Silver Tequila – and have just as much fun."
1800 Tequila "Change The Game" Shot Top Commercial
The campaign, created by Agent16 New York, is the brand’s first television advertising campaign. The aggressive tone of the spots – calling out Patrón for the top position in the premium tequila category illustrates how 1800 Tequila will assert itself as the leading brand of Silver tequila.

The new $15 million ad campaign is set to debut on September 14th on top cable channels including ESPN and Comedy Central. Additionally, 1800 Tequila is also planning major buys of interactive, expandable rich media on Sports Illustrated.com and Yahoo! Sports, showcasing the complete collection of television spots, to round out a full television, print, online, and out-of-home campaign.

The launch of the new campaign follows a sponsorship of the Los Angeles Lakers, making 1800 Tequila the first spirits brand to sponsor the 2009 NBA Championship team.

Whats Your O Face Three Olives Vodka

You may have seen the print ads, or even entered the “What’s Your O-Face” contest, and now the brand is thrilled to launch the first-ever television campaign for Three Olives Vodka.
The $10 million ad campaign is set to debut on August 31st on top cable channels including BRAVO and E!, supplemented by major online buys with TMZ and Perez Hilton.
The ads will feature the brand’s wild and surprising flavored vodka line, where viewers are introduced to a series of situations that one would expect to garner a look of shock, but instead are met with a stoic impression. That is, until the subject tastes shockingly delicious Three-O Vodka.
“The development of our new campaign was driven by research that produced two key findings: first, that consumers felt the fun had been taken out of vodka with virtually all brands scrambling for the same crowded, so-called ‘luxury’ positioning,” said Elwyn Gladstone, Vice President of Marketing at Proximo. “Secondly, the Three-O flavor range has become the benchmark amongst flavored vodkas for its wild, surprising and intense taste experience. These findings are reflected in the hilarious imagery of the new campaign, featuring a series of situations that one would expect to garner a look of shock, but instead are met with a stoic impression. That is, until the subject tastes shockingly delicious Three-O Vodka.”

The television campaign, created by Agent16, formerly Mezzina Brown & Partners, an award-winning New York-based boutique advertising agency, is the brand’s first venture into television advertising. Realized by award winning commercial director Simon Cole, the new campaign expertly depicts Three-O’s brand essence by portraying the simple idea that drinking premium vodka should be fun and exciting.

“Three Olives is the most exciting vodka brand in the market, carving out a niche from our stuffy and pretentious competitors with a single-minded message of being seriously fun,” said Gino Luci, Marketing Manager at Proximo. “We’re shaking up the category through innovation in every aspect of the brand – advertising, promotions and exciting new flavors – and the results are showing. In a market where traditional brands such as Stoli and Absolut are declining, we are seeing very high, double-digit growth. Consumers and the trade are looking for something new and fresh within the most important spirits category and Three Olives is providing just that.”

Hugs Absolut Vodka Commercial

In An Absolut World, Currency will be replaced with acts of kindness is the message in the Absolut Vodka commercial "Hugs," the ad features a classic soundtrack by beloved jazz artist Louis Armstrong. The Absolut Hugs ad was created by TBWA\Chiat\Day, New York. An exert from their press release: the “Hugs” ad is an exercise in restrained buoyancy, presenting a softly-lit parallel universe where affection is coin of the realm, a kiss on the cheek the sanctioned currency. Scored with the Louis Armstrong standard, “A Kiss to Build a Dream On,” it ends with the “In an Absolut world” tag and an understated product shot.

The “Hugs” spot, built as the TV extension of a brand campaign that launched in spring 2007, aired after 10 p.m. Sunday in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and 10 other top-20 markets, an ambitious local buy reaching 31 percent of all U.S. TV households.

This week, the ad will be seen in seven local markets, with the particulars of each buy determined by individual stations. If all goes according to plan, Absolut will piece together a second TV buy in the latter half of the year.

Absolut Vodka Pulls Its American Mexico Map Ad

Well it did not take too long to have this rather clever ad from Absolut Vodka and the advetising firm Teran/TBWA pulled after an uproar from the Americans. This controversial ad ran in Mexico and was not meant to be seen in the USA.
IN AN ABSOLUT WORLD
The Absolut Vodka advertisement which ran in Mexico showing a map of where the North American border stood before the Mexican-American War of 1848 (released by the Mexican advertising firm Teran/TBWA).

Although it was not shown in the United States, US media outlets picked up on the ad, and after a barrage of complaints, Absolut's maker said yesterday the ad campaign would cease.

Defending the campaign last week, Absolut maker Vin & Spirit said the ad was created "with a Mexican sensibility" and was not meant for the US market.

"In no way was this meant to offend or disparage, nor does it advocate an altering of borders, nor does it lend support to any anti-American sentiment, nor does it reflect immigration issues," a spokeswoman wrote on Absolut's website.

"Instead, it hearkens to a time which the population of Mexico may feel was more ideal," she wrote.

Absolut's blog site has received more than a thousand comments since the ad campaign was launched a few weeks ago, with many calling for boycotts of the Swedish company.

"I have poured the remainder of my Absolut bottles down the sink," one blogger wrote.

A war between Mexico and the United States from 1846 to 1848 started with Mexico's refusal to recognise the US annexation of Texas and ended with the occupation of Mexico City by US troops.

At the end, Mexico ceded nearly half of its territory to the United States, forming the states of California, Nevada, Utah and parts of Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Wyoming.

Sorry, what is the big deal here? That is what the map looked like back in 1846 did it not?
