Saatchi & Saatchi LA Creates Campaign for the Reinvented 2012 Toyota Camry
“It’s Ready. Are You?” Touts Vehicle Innovation and Performance
Saatchi & Saatchi LA today announced the launch of the reinvented 2012 Camry campaign, one of the largest integrated marketing campaigns the agency has developed for Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. “It‟s Ready. Are You?” demonstrates how the seventh-generation model addresses changes in consumers‟ vehicle needs, expectations and driving habits through the combination of new innovations and improvements to interior and exterior vehicle styling.
The campaign centers around six TV spots, beginning with the 30-second “Built,” which will make its national debut on October 16 during NBC's Sunday Night Football. The spot uses stunning animation and visual effects to highlight the Camry‟s new features and visually demonstrate the reinvention of Toyota‟s signature model. As the 2012 model builds around its driver, the spot touches on several of the key aspects midsize car buyers expect to get with their next car purchase.
“For nearly 30 years, Camry has been an icon of durability, quality and reliability. But with the new model, Toyota has made a serious upgrade in technology, safety, elegance, performance and flat out beauty,” said Chris Adams, executive creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi LA. “With the „Built‟ commercial, we had a lot of fun literally showing this reinvention in progress. It truly is a car built around the needs of today's drivers.”
Another 30-second TV spot, “Pit Stop,” pays homage to the Camry‟s racing heritage with Toyota NASCAR driver Kyle Busch. The ad shows how Toyota‟s excellence carries from the racetrack to the roadway by transforming the car in the speed of a pit stop to highlight the Camry's performance capabilities and intuitive mobile technology. “Pit Stop” will make its television debut on October 24.
Two additional TV commercials will roll out later this year. Further, broadcast momentum continues into next year with two spots in the Super Bowl and the Toyota Halftime Report.
The campaign also includes print ads, digital media, out-of-home boards and social media elements. Additionally, digital billboards featuring Camry imagery will run atop the Walgreens building in New York‟s Times Square to spark the public‟s interest and build intrigue for the 2012 model.
Beginning in November, consumers will have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the 2012 Camry at over 125 events through March 2012. The Toyota Drive Center national ride and drive tour, along with activations at select Life Time Fitness locations across the country, will give the public a chance to experience the vehicle first hand.
To set the stage for the 2012 model launch, Toyota and Saatchi & Saatchi LA launched the Camry Effect website, which is designed to connect the nearly seven million Camry drivers in the United States through an intuitive, interactive, online experiencehttp://www.toyota.com/camryeffect.
The Camry Effect provides past and present Camry owners a platform to share stories, moments, memories and milestones of first dates, road trips, soccer games, interviews and college days while witnessing the collective “effect”

Nike "Before and After" Spot Pays Tribute to a Soccer God
Nike Soccer's latest ad campaign is both a homage to a retiring football legend and an entertaining history lesson on how the beautiful game has changed over the years. The cool new soccer spot splits it's evolving history into two distinct era's: Before Ronaldo and After Ronaldo. Created by ad agency F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, ironically based out of Brazil's hated football rivals Argentina, the ad features cool clips and graphics demonstrating how Ronaldo's rapid-style play and technique have influenced the game and resonated with fans around the world.

Norte Beer's Good Deeds Give Men "The Best Excuse Ever"
Guys everywhere have always faced the same challenge of needing a good excuse for going out drinking with the boys. So a little known regional brewery based out of northern Argentina set out to solve this timeless dilemma. Teaming up with the world's leading ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi, they developed one of the most elaborate campaigns that is not only very clever but socially responsible. The idea is simple, for every Norte beer consumed at a bar the company would donate 1 minute of time to a worthy cause that included fixing houses and maintaining city parks. The successful campaign also allowed followers to monitor the donated minutes and the progress made by their good deeds on a dedicated website. In the end, the campaign delivered what it promised, as the more the boys went out drinking the better their community got - genius.

Pampers New TV Spot is Full of Little "Miracles"
Inherent in a brand like Pampers is the cute and cuddly connotation that goes along with it's product line. Yet in this new ad created by leading ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi, they have gone from mere adorable to down right touching. Not usually a fan of sappy montage type compilations ads, this commercial titled 'Miracles' is a cut above the rest. The execution is flawless, starting with the soundtrack to it's poetic captions that perfectly anchor and relate various poignant moments in a young parents life. The goosebump laden advert ends with one of the cutest smiles in advertising history - how can you not be touched.

Toyota iQ "Nimble as a Mouse" Ad Campaign with Behind The Scenes
Ad Agency Saatchi & Saatchi just released a campaign for Toytoa iQ, the world's smallest four seater. Saatchi & Saatchi had the idea to turn the car into a mouse, so it could move a cursor on a giant screen and operate a computer.
The idea posed a technological challenge. At the time, there were ways to track a car’s movements. But there was no known method for turning the car into a fully functioning mouse, with the ability to click, draw and drag. So working with a web developer, the agency devised custom software to make it possible.
The feat required a large indoor space, a web cam, two laptops, an LED for the car, and a projection screen.
The camera tracked the light on the car and translated its position into X-Y co-ordinates. The first laptop sent these co-ordinates to the second laptop 30 times per second. The second laptop read these co-ordinates and moved its mouse cursor in real-time. That image was then projected onto the large screen.
Then, before an exclusive audience, the iQ operated a giant computer to design its own newspaper ad, complete with webcam photo, mouse-drawn logo and a copy line, which was typed using a virtual keyboard.
The live event was shot and edited into a short film and a behind the scenes video.

The CaraMilk Secret Revealed Through Modern Dance
New Cadbury CaraMilk commercial titled "Modern Dance" reveals the secret of just how they get the caramel in the caramilk bar. I have to admit when this first showed up in my inbox I was excited to view it since it was created by the great Saatchi & Saatchi ad agency and with my first view of the spot I was left with a strange feeling but you really do have to give it a second view to appreciate why Saatchi & Saatchi and the director Ulf Johansson are brilliant at creating great adverts.

Head and Shoulders Print Ads by Saatchi
This is why Saatchi & Saatchi are the creme de le creme of advertising firms, three great new print ad posters for Head & Shoulders created by Patrick Ackmann and Richard Wilkinson for Saatchi Germany. The posters are brilliantly illustrated with the tag lines "Some Things Even We Can't Get Out Of Your Head". The ads titled Granny, Chicken and Dog are not really images that far fetched and I would have to say I've experienced all three situations. I think we have an award winning ad already this year.
