In the check-out line, the Coke Zero driver is hoping to quickly pay for a delicious Pepsi MAX without anybody noticing. Unfortunately for him, the transaction doesn't go as planned.

2010 GoDaddy Super Bowl Ad "News"

Much of the same from GoDaddy and the lovely Danica Patrick for their fourth quarter Super Bowl Commercial this year. This time Patrick is shocked when a sexy newscaster gets 'too hot for TV' during a live TV interview, in the spot entitled "News".

truTV 2010 Super Bowl Ad with Troy Polamalu

Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers stars in this 2010 Super Bowl ad for truTV.
A newcomer to the world’s biggest advertising stage, truTV is revealing its first-ever Super Bowl commercial and giving viewers an exclusive look at the spot in its entirety.

truTV’s Super Bowl ad was created by Grey and is scheduled to air in the second quarter of Sunday’s big game, near the two-minute warning.

2010 Super Bowl Ads That Don't Cut It

Another 2010 Super Bowl Ad that didn't make the cut this year. ManCrunch was hoping to buy a spot for the Super Bowl and submitted this baby for consideration, CBS had this to say after rejecting the ad: "After reviewing the ad -- which is entirely commercial in nature -- our Standards and Practices department decided not to accept this particular spot. As always, we are open to working with the client on alternative submissions." Does anyone really believe that ManCrunch could afford to fork $3 million for a 30 second spot during the SuperBowl....please who they trying to fool.

2010 SuperBowl XLIV Ads - Rejected CareerBuilder.com Spot

CareerBuilder.com jumped into the banned SuperBowl Ads game this year with these commercials that were rejected for the 2010 Super Bowl to air on TV during the game....ya right.
Actually these two spots were finalists in a contest similar to the Crash The SuperBowl Contest by Doritos, where ads were submitted and may the best spots win.

ASHLEY GREENE wearing ZERO for Sobe and Strawberry Dragonfruit

Ashley Greene photo shoot for Sobe. Could this even be a surprise preview of a Sobe Superbowl ad coming up in a few weeks.
Apparently nothing comes between Ashley Greene and her SoBe. Nothing.zero! And to prove it, "The Twilight Saga" actress is celebrating the launch of SoBe Lifewater's newest 0 calorie flavors Cherimoya Punch and Strawberry Dragonfruit by posing in SoBe skinsuits for the pages of Sports Illustrated's iconic Swimsuit issue. The advertising spread from SoBe, a vibrant PepsiCo brand, appears exclusively in the eagerly-anticipated 2010 edition which hits newsstands Wednesday, February 10.

Troy Polamalu for Head & Shoulders Commercial

Troy Polamalu stars in this great new Head & Shoulders commercial. Polamalu is proving to not only be a star football player but a fine actor too, just look at how well he pulled off this bit in the spot.I'm sure we will be seeing much more of Troy throughout this NFL season both on the field and in the upcoming 2010 SuperBowl XLIV Commercial countdown.

Best and The Worst Super Bowl Commercials

The hype is over and now we enjoy all the talk of which Super Bowl commercials are the best this year.
At the top of my list is the Budweiser Clydesdale Circus commercial, as expected the Clyesdale horses are the stars of this years Best Super Bowl Ads.

At number 2 well it was a tie, the two spots created by amateur advertising gurus for the the Doritos Crash The SuperBowl Contest.Crash the super bowl power of the crunchthe office crash the super bowl doritos commercial

The Power of the Crunch and The Office commercials created for the Doritos contest were actually much better than most of the ads this year. View the spots here Contest Winners.

Next on my list is the funny Bridgestone Super Bowl commercial titled "Taters" starring Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head.

Rounding out my favorites was the 30 second spot for Cheetos, the spoiled girl attacked by pigeons was just too funny.

As for the worst commercials of the Super Bowl there is just one that takes the Top Spot for worst ad this year. I'm sure most of you will agree the Cash4Gold Super Bowl commercial with MC Hammer and Ed McMahon seemed more like one of those tacky late night infomercials. In case you missed it here it is again.
Other commercials worth mentioning in the worst ads of the game are the GoDaddy commercials. They really are just getting boring and old.

Conan O'Brien Bud Light Super Bowl Ad

The Conan O'Brien Bud Light Budweiser Super Bowl commercial will surely top the Best Ads of The SuperBowl lists this year.

SuperBowl 2009 Sobe SobeBelieve 3D Commercial

The Sobe SobeBelieve 2D Version of the 3D Monsters vs Aliens Super Bowl Ad with Matt Light, Justin Tuck and ray Lewis.

Matt Light, Justin Tuck, and Ray Lewis put on tights and dance to Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake” in the new Sobe Super Bowl XLIII commercial titled "Lizard Lake", SobeBelieve. This is the 2D version of the much anticipated Monsters vs Aliens 3D Super Bowl ad that is going to air during the third quarter of the game, hope you got your 3D glasses for this one.
Not only does the spot star the NFL stars, the Sobe LifeWater spot introduces from movie Lee The Lizard, The Missing Link, Dr. Cockroach, and Bob who star in the movie Monsters vs Aliens. The official version will air Sunday February 1st, 2009 in 3D; the first ever 3D commercial.
Some of the commercial credits go to:

Just as good as the commercial is the making of SoBe's super bowl commercial "Lizard Lake".

Pepsi Max "I'm Good" SuperBowl Commercial

The new Pepsi Max "I'm Good" commercial was just released in what seems to have become the norm for the SuperBowl ads, being made available well before the Super Bowl is even played. As funny as the Pepsi "I'm Good" ad is I can't agree that it is very original, while you are watching the spot keep the Budweiser "Dude" commercial in mind.

Troy Polamalu Super Bowl Mean Joe Greene Coke Zero Commercial

Troy Polamalu stars in the remake of the classic Mean Joe Greene Coke commercial for the Super Bowl. Mean Troy for Coke Zero.

Created by the ad agency Crispin Porter & Bogusky.
Steelers' Troy Polamalu shares his thoughts on his acting, football and making the Coke Zero commercial. How ironic, a behind the scenes look at the making of the new Coke Zero spot which will air during the same game Troy will take the field for!

Peta Banned Super Bowl Commercial

Peta takes NBC for a ride with their new ad. Make no mistake about it Peta knew that NBC would never allow this ad to air during the Super Bowl. Now they take the hype and run.

Steve Hall at AdGabber had some great thoughts on the Peta Super Bowl spot:
PETA contends NBC's response to their ad had "PETA bigwigs blushing like beets." Um, right. More like they were fist bumping each other and laughing at how NBC just fell right into their trap.

In response to PETA's ad, NBC VP of Standards Victoria Morgan wrote, "the PETA spot submitted to Advertising Standards depicts a level of sexuality exceeding our standards," it portrays one actor "screwing herself with broccoli" and another with "asparagus on her lap appearing as if it is ready to be inserted into her."

Is everyone blushing now? Right. Didn't think so. This is tiring.

Of course an ad like this would never be allowed to appear in the Super Bowl. PETA knew it. NBC could have just ignored the whole thing or just one lined it with, "this ad is not acceptable" without lengthy explanation.

Doesn't NBC understand PETA played them? That a trap was clearly set and NBC walked straight into it?

The whole strategy, of course, is to contend NBC allows ads for unhealthy junk food from the lies of KFC but won't allow ads encouraging, in PETA's opinion, a healthier lifestyle. Well, PETA, how about an ad that just said that instead of an ad which depicts women having sex with vegetable?

Denny's Super Bowl Commercial Preview "Thugs"

Denny's gets into the Super Bowl Ads game for the first time with a 30 second spot that will air during the third quarter. The spot is narrated by Burt Reynolds and as the title suggests; "Thugs" the Denny's commercial is going to have a Soprano's feel to it.

clip via: AdGabber
The commercial was directed by the Perlorian Brothers (good ole Canadian boys) for the advertising agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partner. This is actually the one commercial I'm really looking forward to seeing on Super Bowl Sunday.

More of the Same Old Go Daddy Super Bowl Ads

Go Daddy "Baseball" and Go Daddy "Shower" commercials created for the 2009 Super Bowl with Danica Patrick. Seriously is it just me or are the GoDaddy Super Bowl spots getting old and well sorry Go Daddy they are boring, how about some originality for a change.
For those who like the commercials here they are. Enjoy.

Go Daddy Girl Danica Patrick reveals "enhancements".

Pedigree First Ever Super Bowl Ad

Pedigree gets into the Super Bowl Ad game with their first commercial to ever air during the much loved Super Bowl. The Pet food marketer is known for ads that tug at our heartstrings, for the Super Bowl they are going for laughs, and this spot accomplishes just that.

For its first Super Bowl commercial, Pedigree goes for laughs to highlight the role pets play in our lives. The 30-second ad, which will run during the first quarter of Super Bowl XLIII, imagines life with wild animals instead of dogs: a dog sticking its head out the car window is replaced with a wild boar, and rather than a pup chasing the mailman, it's an ostrich, this one should make the top 10 ads of the game on the ads meter.

Coke Open Happiness Commercial Heist and Avatar

The new Coca-Cola Open Happiness commercials are as always simply fantastic. Created by Wieden + Kennedy, the Coke spot below which will air during the Super Bowl gives me shivers, it is just one of those feel good spots.

"Avatar" Coke Open Happiness Music by: "Stranger in the Crowd," Gnarls Barkley's Cee-Lo a cover of Elvis Presley's 1970 hit.

The music for the Open Happiness "Avatar" spot is wonderful, if any of you know who it's by please share.

Just got the info on the music for the Open Happiness spot: the soundtrack for the spot features a cover of Elvis Presley's 1970 hit "Stranger in the Crowd," by Gnarls Barkley's Cee-Lo.
The second spot, "Heist," features music from "Peter and the Wolf," conducted by Robert Miller and performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic. In the 60-second spot, a man dozes off in a park only to have insects scheme to make off with his Coke.
