Sony Experia TV Ad Featuring "Follow" Music by the Crystal Fighters
McCann London has created a new TV and print campaign for Sony’s Xperia smartphone which can transfer music to a speaker or pictures to another phone with a single touch.
Through a series of vibrant, distinctive images, McCann demonstrates the possibilities of creating, sharing or listening to content via the product.
The two separate ads – one for music and one for pictures - features a cast of over a 100 people and was shot over seven days in Barcelona.
The soundtrack on the TV ads is “Follow” by UK band, the Crystal Fighters, who have built up a strong and active fan base. In addition, one of the campaigns features a special remix of the track by dubstep producer Benga.
Rachel Emms, Managing Director of McCann London says: “It was a very complex campaign to shoot and we recreated an entire around-the-world experience in Barcelona in the course of a week. It demonstrates really effectively how you can unleash music and photos and share them instantly.”
Steve Walker, Chief Marketing Officer at Sony Mobile says: “Xperia smartphones open the door to a world of imagination and we have created a vibrant campaign to show the possibilities of One-touch function, whether creating, sharing or listening to content.”

Sony Dash Mr. Sun Ad
So to get the word out it was only natural that 180 LA turned to the guy who’s responsible for starting every day¬–the sun.
In this new spot for the Sony Dash, we imagined what it might be like if the Sun could visit the Sony Innovation Center to give us his take on this revolutionary new device. The good news is he liked it. The bad news is, well, he’s made of fire. And an enthusiastic fireball can be a dangerous thing.
“The new Sony Dash has the unique ability to offer a whole new wake up experience for its users. In this spot we have the sun stop by to lend his expertise. And if the sun were to come by Sony’s Innovation Center, he’d clearly be dressed in business casual.” – Gavin Lester, Creative Director
This is the first Sony Campaign since Creative Directors Gavin Lester and Ari Weiss joined 180 and the second spot of the campaign. The campaign features various visitors stopping by Sony’s Innovation Center, to take a look at Sony’s latest technologies.

Taylor Swift Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX7 "Fans" TV Commercial Ad
The ads with Swift zero in on the sleek and powerful Cyber-shot DSC-TX7 digital still camera and its intelligent iSweep Panorama feature that captures ultra-wide panoramic shots in one easy “press and sweep” motion; a technology innovation currently only available by Sony.
Primetime advertising spots featuring Swift discovering that she can capture the breadth of her audience with the new TX7 camera will start airing today on NBC, FOX and CW, accompanied by digital and print ads carried out through June. Sony will also spread the word about the new digital camera commercial through social networks.
“My fans are on the cutting edge, and I’m very interested in the newest and best technologies out there,” said Swift. “I’m super excited to be working with Sony and using the TX7 camera. The iSweep panorama mode is amazing.”
“This campaign with Swift and the TX7 camera is the start of a year-long campaign designed to demonstrate the quality, innovation, style and design that only Sony-branded products stand for,” said Stuart Redsun, Sony Electronics’ senior vice president, corporate marketing. “Sony is the only electronics company that creates entertainment and the only entertainment company that makes electronics. The ‘wow’ factor in our newest ad is clearly illustrated when Taylor puts the TX7 in action.”
“The campaign launches with Taylor Swift visiting Sony's Innovation Center to try out the new Cyber-shot,” noted Ari Weiss, Creative Director for 180 Los Angeles. “Throughout the year we’ll have different visitors drop in to experience the latest in Sony innovations. You may even see Justin Timberlake stop by.”

Sony Bravia "RockStar" Commercial Rocks With AC/DC's Thunderstruck
Entitled 'Sony Rockstar', it's giving you a glimpse into a world of TV without limits. This is the UK version of the ad; it is already on screens in the majority of other European countries.
'Rockstar' features the music of legendary rockers AC/DC, with the track Thunderstruck. Sony chose to feature the bands show at Donington Park on 17 August 1991 in the new ad as it is one of the most iconic moments in music history. This year sees the band return to Donington, as part of their extensive world tour.
The new range of BRAVIA TVs for 2010 was designed using our new Monolithic Design thinking, which is all about a minimalistic design that fits seamlessly into your living room, complementing the Full HD display.

Sony VAIO Feel Something TV Spot
What if technology could make you feel…The TV execution is a tribute to the five senses. The spot opens with the campaign line, ”What if technology could make you feel…” then cuts in a rapid-fire pace through a series of moments featuring people surrendering to sensory experiences—whether it’s getting lost in the sensation of the wind through one’s hair or the simple, unexpected impact of a tear trailing down a face. The spot resolves on the ending of the campaign line, “…more human.” Shot on location in São Paulo, the commercial was helmed by renowned Brazilian director Bia Flecha of Brasileira Filmes.
