Tricks Are For Kids in Rocksmith "Guitar Baby" Viral Ad Campaign

What makes for a great viral marketing campaign? The answer appears to be babies and impressive tricks. As part of software developers Ubisoft and the launch of their cool new guitar video game Rocksmith, they have created one of the most realistic prank ads I have ever seen. This ingenious piece of viral marketing and special effects makes the e-Trade and dancing Evian babies look archaic in comparison. Like a great illusionist, the spot's use of clever edits and simple youtube style camera work help sell the elaborate hoax.

Electronic Arts -The Sims Goes All 'Medieval' Up In Here with their Latest TV Ad

The worlds best selling simulated video game series The Sims and their creators Electronic Arts have enlisted funny actor Donald Faison to help promote their latest video game release. Best known for his role as Turk in NBC's Scrubs and the hit teen movie Clueless, Faison does a great job in this funny new TV ad. The likable actor demonstrates his natural charm and comic ad-lib skills as he takes us on a virtual tour of the latest in the line of the popular game series with The Sims Medieval.

Activision's Call Of Duty Black Ops "There's A Soldier In All Of Us" TV Ad

This great commercial for Call of Duty: Black Ops takes the first-person shooter video game experience to another level with it's ingenious premise of placing everyday people in direct combat scenarios. The spot is funny and the cinematography is top notch, but what really makes this ad work is the classic song "Gimme Shelter" by The Rolling Stones, as it makes the perfect soundtrack to the impressive visuals. The Stone's however don't have much say in the matter as New York-based ABKCO Music & Records holds the rights to the song. They also licensed "Sympathy for the Devil" to be used as background music for scenes inside the game as well.
