Change for a Dollar

Is he asking for Change, or is he asking for CHANGE?
Follow a man as he affects multiple peoples' lives with just one dollar, proving that it doesn't take much to be the change in someone's life. The homeless man is played by Robert P. Campbell. You can't watch this without getting a little teary eyed, hopefully it will inspire you as it has me to make an effort to make a positive change in someone's life

At the star-studded ceremony on June 14th in New York City, BBDO will be presented with the Webby Agency of the Year Award, which recognizes the most successful agency across all Webby categories, including, interactive advertising, websites, mobile sites, and online film and video.
Academy judges like R/GA's Bob Greenberg, Ogilvy's Lars Bastholm, and Crispin Porter + Bogusky's Alex Bogusky selected Webby Awards winners, while people around the world cast nearly one million votes in The Webby People’s Awards, setting a new Webby record. A full list of both Webby Awards and People’s Voice Awards winners can be found at www.webbyawards.com.
Other highlights of The 14th Annual Webby Awards include:

Several groundbreaking interactive advertising campaigns receiving Webby Awards include:
- Evian’s “Roller Babies” (BETC Euro RSCG)
- Volkswagen’s “The Fun Theory” (DDB Stockholm)
- Starbucks “Love Project” (BBDO New York)
- The Grammy Awards” “We’re All Fans” (TBWA\Chiat\Day)
My vote went to Evian's Roller Babies...it was just darn cute.

Achieving both critical and popular consensus, five works won both a Webby Award and a People’s Voice Award including:

Kit Kat’s “Jesus” (UbachsWisbrun/JWT)
The Grammy Awards’ “We’re All Fans” (TBWA\Chiat\Day)
Volkswagen’s “The Fun Theory” (DDB Stockholm)
“Yearbook Yourself” (Colle + McVoy)
“Can Hands” (Bridge Worldwide)

Two campaigns won Webby Awards in multiple categories:

- Nike’s Tour de France “Chalkbot” (Wieden + Kennedy):
Best Integrated Media Plan and Online Campaigns
- Volkswagen’s “The Fun Theory” (DDB Stockholm):
Online Guerilla & Innovation and Online Campaigns

Winning agencies ranged from large agencies like R/GA and United Kingdom’s Dare to Sweden’s London’s Akestam Holst and Minneapolis’ Colle + McVoy

“From viral videos to Facebook memes to wildly popular branded content and games, this year’s winners demonstrate interactive advertising’s growing influence on pop culture,” said David-Michel Davies, executive director, The Webby Awards. “We’re thrilled to honor the agencies and brands that are pushing the medium in exciting new directions.”

Hosted by B.J. Novak of NBC’s The Office, the 14th Annual Webby Awards ceremony will feature winners and honorees delivering five-word speeches in the tradition of past Webby victors like Al Gore (“Please don’t recount this vote.”), R/GA’s Bob Greenberg (“Agency for the Digital Age”), and Jimmy Fallon (“Thank God Conan got promoted”). Speeches and ceremony highlights will be broadcast on the Webby Awards YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/TheWebbyAwards). Listerine : The Great Indian Snake Charmer Ad

New commercial for Listerine voted one of the 10 funniest ads of 2009. Bondhu, the only son of the world famous Mystic Snake Charmer "Maya", he is forced to take over his family business on the banks of the holy river Ganga, in the ancient pilgrim town of Varanasi. But blow as much as he can, every snake rejects his charms and the hypnotic tune of his pungi. IKEA Recipes Print Ads in Typical German Percision Style

Ikea and ad agency DDB Germany create the Ikea Recipes collection of print ads. Three favorite recipes are used to promote Ikea kitchen ware. These are just brilliant thumbs up to the creatives behind these, credits below. Each of the ads includes print of a recipe and of course the Ikea products used to create the meals. My favorite of the three is Tiramisu:
1. Pour two packs of cream into a BLANDA BLANK bowl and whip them using a KONCIS balloon whisk. Add the same amount of mascarpone, mix up and put aside.
2. Thoroughly mix two full TRIVSEL kettles of espresso with half that amount of coffee liqueur into a FLÄCKIG jug using a FÖRNUFT tablespoon.
3. Dip both sides of the sponge fingers in the coffee mix. Layer into a MIXTUR serving dish, then spread half of the cream with SKRAPA rubber spatula.
4. Repeat creating a second layer. Add remainder of cream. Top off with cocoa powder using an IDEALISK flour sifter. Put in fridge for at least one hour. Serve, using a GRUNKA spoon of the 4-piece kitchen utensil set.

Brazilian Press Association "The Comma"

The Brazilian Press Association commercial spot "The Comma". Who knew a comma could be so powerful. The Brazilian press Assoc. has been fighting for 100 years so know one will change a single comma from your information. This is brilliant how powerful the comma can be: A comma can be used as a pause, it can make your money disappear, a comma can accuse the wrong person, a comma can change everything.

Here is the original version of "The Comma". Advertising pros are claiming the english version was done just in time to qualify for all the advertising awards, either way they are brilliant commercials.

The all new Audi A4 ad debuted in front of millions of viewers for the first time during the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympic games. This spectacular commercial was created by the Venables, Bell & Partners Ad Agency.

I have been attempting to get more details on the music used in the Audi commercial, this is a quote from an email response a friend received after contacting Audi about the "Progress Is Beautiful" commercial campaign.

"We appreciate your taking the time to share your comments with us about
the Progress is Beautiful video and are very pleased that you enjoyed
the music so much. As a general rule, our commercial videos have
specially-created music from a music house for each commercial; this
music is not available to the public."

If anyone has any information on the song title, artist or composer please do share it with us.
