Nike Says So Long To Lance Armstrong

We wont be seeing Lance Armstrong and Nike together any longer nor as chairman of LIVESTRONG, the cancer non-profit organization he founded. Nike gave him the boot today and Lance stepped down from Livestrong via a Tweet. Nike is continuing to support Livestrong...Rough day for Lance.
NIKE STATEMENT ON LANCE ARMSTRONG

Due to the seemingly insurmountable evidence that Lance Armstrong participated in doping and misled Nike for more than a decade, it is with great sadness that we have terminated our contract with him. Nike does not condone the use of illegal performance enhancing drugs in any manner.

Nike plans to continue support of the Livestrong initiatives created to unite, inspire and empower people affected by cancer.

Nike Introduces The LEBRON X Commercial

Forged by time, heat and pressure the diamond inspires LeBron James' tenth Nike signature shoe is introduced with this new TV ad/commercial campaign.

Each colorway of the LEBRON X has a unique story. The blue diamond colorway is symbolic of the blue tint diamonds gain from interaction with electricity, which can be paralleled to James' electric style of play. The cutting Jade colorway is inspired by the Chinese art of cutting jade using diamonds. The story continues throughout the season with multiple colorways linked to the diamond.

Heat, time and pressure are three things James has faced, and they act as the shoe’s inspiration. Although a refined diamond is beautiful, it takes work to get there – it starts as a dull rock. Over time, it gains clarity and sharpens with multiple facets.

Kobe Bryant is 'Black Mamba', a Nike Basketball Film Ad featuring Bruce Willis and Kanye West

These popular film-like ads are becoming more common as they lend themselves well to the internet, where they can be viewed in their entirety. In this Nike Basketball full version epic, Kobe Bryant stars as the 'Black Mamba', a character being pitched to him by famed director Robert Rodriguez. Similar to his previous directed movies such as Desperado, From Dusk Til Dawn and Sin City, this spot is a cool, dark and edgy - a Rodriguez trademark style. The ad film also features cameos by Bruce Willis, Danny Trejo and Kanye West, as Rodrigues likes to use the same actors in most of his movies. Bryant's performance holds up against Willis and Trejo and even Kanye West is perfectly cast as The Boss in this action packed spot.

Nike 'Throwdown' Ad is a Flippin' Trip to Watch

In the latest commercial for Nike's Free Yourself ad campaign, they have created a street battle type spot that features everyone from Break Dancers to Double Dutchers, Rugby Players to B-Ballers and Weight Lifters to Runners. Nike 'Take Control' Ad is a Real Kick

To help market their new CTR360 boot Nike have enlisted Andres Iniesta, the Spanish mid-fielder who scored the winning goal at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The innovative spot features Iniesta transitioning between practice and game play with some of the best edits and coolest camera angles I have ever seen. The result is a great spot that makes you feel like your right their on the pitch with the Barcelona star.

Nike 'RunFWD' Aim To Pass It On

Nike Japan has come up with a cool idea that involves runners from around the world in a virtual relay race. The RunFWD interactive project uses GPS to track runners and send custom video emails that are used to pass the relay baton or tasuki to the next participant. With names like Wayne Rooney joining in on the 2 month campaign called the Global Ekiden Relay, Nike is banking on world wide participation. The ad itself features great scenic shots mixed with some cool text effects, along with a great soundtrack by toe.
