Veja Magazine "iPad" Ad is a Touching Tale of the Future

Capturing the paradigm shift and revolutionary changes that are occurring in print media and society as a whole, Brazilian magazine Veja and ad agency G2 Grey have created a subtle yet very effective advertisement to promote their availability on Apple's iPad. Having first hand witnessed the intuitive manner in which young children have taken to the iPad, this spots message is a poignant one on how this technology will change future generations forever.

Bombril Vantage Print Ad's "Piranha" & "Aligator" Are Sharp Concepts

A creative new way to sell stain cleaning products comes to us from Brazil with the print ads titled 'Piranha' and 'Alligator'.  Bombril's clever print ad composition is both whimsical and effective, with the perfect copy that reads "For all species of clothes. For all kinds of stains".  I love it when creative advertisers can come up with ingenious new ways to view common everyday products, while staying focused on the products main function.

MTV's Inventive Popping Promo Ad "Balloons"

MTV Brazil with ad agency Loducca Sao Paulo have created an ingenious new promo ad campaign titled 'Balloons' for their South American TV market. Similar to flip book animation, the clever ad utilizes a low tech yet inventive animation technique where a traveling spike pops hundreds of balloons along a track. Their actual stick figure animation is not only very inventive but also very entertaining, as the cool story starts off with a simple egg and leads to record contracts and Slash morphing into Eminem.

Brazilain Jewelery Print Ad Poses Both Style and Substance

This print ad campaign by Brazil's Aparecida Jewelery is an intriguing and contradictory ad with a dual message of female empowerment and  a self-esteem that can only be derived with designer jewelery. The first 2 print ads titled 'Few Grams' and 'High Heels' are polar opposites from the later titles 'On Their Knees' and 'Small Box'. Intentional  or not, the advertisement's copywrite does create a pragmatic dialogue that we all face in our increasingly material world.

Real Estate Development Campaign 'Open Air Book' Tells A New Kind Of Story

A very interesting property development marketing campaign was launched in Porto Alegre's 4th District in Brazil by real estate developers Rossi Fiateci and ad agency Leo Burnett. The idea was to promote and rediscover an old industrial area by creating interactive billboards that tells the story of the newly established neighborhood. Writer Carpinjar Fabricio wrote 4 life stories using the neighborhood as the backdrop where people could follow the narrative on billboards throughout the rejuvenated community.

Make Your Own Story with Lego Star Wars Print Ads

Here's a cool new print ad campaign from Lego featuring Star Wars figures in situations you have never seen before.  The Brazilian print ad campaign series that includes the titles "BBQ', 'Head', 'Bone', 'Flowers' and 'Graffiti' were created by advertising students in Brazil, who were given one simple direction - make your own story.  The results are great examples of how using simple and stark vignettes can really sell a story. Of course what makes these print ads also work is the inherent back story that these iconic Star War characters bring.

Axe Excite Ad Campaign "Fallen Angels" Returns

Axe ads have always had a reputation for being sexist and juvenile, but their latest ad campaign titled "Fallen Angels" is a clever yet blasphemous take on their predictable and humerus notion that women can't control themselves around the teen deodorant. This sexy ad will make the Catholic Church blush, as it features fashion models Adewole Bretty, Sara Samson, Josipa Jankovic and Magda Klebanska as Fallen Angels to temptation.

This 2011 Brazilian version isn't the first time Axe has used the images of sexy Fallen Angels in their adverts, as Lowe Bull advertising agency created a similar print ad back in 2006 for Axe's South African market.
