Honda Odyssey "A Man is Still A Man"

“A Family Man is Still a Man.” It all started with this phrase, and plans for evolved an experimental piece that would offer an alternative perspective for minivan buyers. The RA team – all minivan-driving dads themselves – envisioned a day off in the life of an Odyssey driver. The story, as written, conveyed a day filled with fun, spontaneity, and yes, responsibility. But unlike so many depictions of family life, this one would show that husbands and dads embrace their lives and that car seats and brotherhood can coexist in harmony. Director Tim Damon immediately sparked to idea and jumped on board, with the caveat that everyone take full advantage of the liberties afforded by non-commissioned work: have a lot of fun, push some buttons, and abandon any “car spot” conventions. The result is a spirited journey somewhat reminiscent of “Hot Tub Time Machine” in its whirlwind pacing and fun-loving bromantic attitude. After all, “A Family Man is Still a Man."

Volkswagen Family Friendly Spots Are Unbeatable

With the overwhelming success of Volkswagen's 'The Force' Super Bowl ad, the German car company is continuing to target their key demographic with another family oriented TV spot. This latest ad titled 'Piñata' is set at a child's birthday party where the strength of the 2011 Tiguan is related through an unbreakable SUV shaped VW piñata. The result is a great metaphor for the European automakers brand and reputation for producing well built cars. Now that's Das Advertising.

Lamborghini Aventador "Triumph" Ad Film is a Relentless Force

Luxury sports car companies like Lamborghini and Ferrari have such an iconic brand they really don't have to advertise, as few of us will ever be able to purchase such a vehicle. So when the Italian automaker does choose to make a rare appearance in the commercial advertising game, it's usually done for vanity or to launch a new model. Either way you know it's going to special and this spot is no exception. Stark landscape imagery and dark music are the backdrop to this 3 minute epic film ad, that features the new Lamborghini Aventador race through a treacherous desert.

Feel the 'Dominoes' Effect in the New Citroen Car Ad

The most difficult task for ad agencies in producing automobile advertisements is coming up with cool new shots of cars simply driving. The fortunate thing is that car ads have huge budgets, which usually results in impressive special effects, as they utilize the latest in CGI technology, often outdoing Hollywood blockbusters. And this new French car ad titled 'dominoes', created by acclaimed production company Psyop and Paris based ad agency Agence H have successfully delivered a cool new spot in the often tired car ad genre.

Hyundai says "Snap Out Of It" and Watch their New 2011 Super Bowl Ads

A recent trend by Super Bowl advertisers is to slowly release their spots during the 2 week build up to the big game. The Hyundai commercial was previewed during the AFC Championship game as the Korean automaker is hoping to get a lot of use of their 2011 Super Bowl ads by releasing the conspiracy themed campaign 'Snap Out Of It' and their 2 new spots titled 'Sheep' and 'Children'. The ads are a bold departure from Hyundai's prior Super Bowl commercial that featured Minnesota Vikings Brett Favre as Father Time, as this years intriguing 'Snap Out Of It' ad campaign also includes companion on-line short film ads that explain Hyundai's compact car conspiracy theory.

Audi A4 'Robot' Ad Has Heart

Cute robots have always proven popular in TV and film, and advertising is no exception. In Audi's latest ad campaign for their Spanish auto market, they introduce us to an adorable antiquated robot of their own. The commercial features the toy robot in awe of his more technologically advanced brethren, as it sets up the European automaker's metaphor for the toy car and their newest Audi A4. The spot is perfectly executed with the addition of the Tin Man's classic song from The Wizard of Oz 'If I Only Had A Heart'.

MINI Car Ad Goes Big In 'MINI vs Monster'

Automaker MINI's latest ad campaign gets help from the iconic Monster Truck brand in this over the top new spot. Created to be played in movie theaters, the ad was shot in 3D and features some great visuals of the stunt. Surprisingly the commercial is pretty funny too, albeit a little campy with some of the crowd shots, but then again it is at a Monster Truck Show.
